The latest Music Pack update takes the first step in that direction by introducing the foundations of a new AI Assistant and support for WordPress’ new AI-oriented capabilities. This is not yet a full AI assistant that writes or modifies your content. Instead, this release focuses on building a safe and useful foundation for what comes next.

The first version of this page focuses on two practical tools that do not require AI-generated content.
Site OverviewThe Site Overview provides a quick summary of the music content currently managed by Music Pack. Depending on which Music Pack content types you have enabled, the overview can show information such as:
Music Pack automatically respects your existing Enable / Disable CPT settings. For example, if your website only uses Events and Albums, the AI Assistant will work only with those content types. Disabled Music Pack features are not included in the overview or exposed to the new AI-ready infrastructure.
Managing a band website often means maintaining information that changes constantly. Concert dates are added. Ticket links change. New albums are released. Videos are uploaded. Galleries are created. It is easy for some information to remain incomplete.
The new Content Health audit checks Music Pack content and highlights potential issues that may need your attention. For example, it can identify:
Issues are grouped by importance so you can quickly distinguish between critical problems, warnings, and recommendations. The important part is that this audit is deterministic. It does not ask an AI model to guess whether your website is complete. Music Pack checks its own structured data directly and reports what it actually finds.
Behind the scenes, this release also introduces support for the new WordPress Abilities API. The Abilities API provides a standardized way for WordPress plugins to describe actions and information that other tools can safely access. For Music Pack, this means exposing carefully controlled, read-only capabilities such as:
These abilities are designed around natural questions rather than internal WordPress IDs.
A musician should not need to know that a concert has post ID 245. Instead, future AI tools should be able to understand requests such as:
“Show me the concert in London.” or: “Which albums were released this year?”
Music Pack can then search its structured content and return the relevant information.
One of the most important decisions in this first release is that the new abilities are read-only. They can inspect Music Pack data, but they cannot edit posts. This allows the new infrastructure to be tested and improved before any AI system is allowed to make changes to a website. For now, the website remains fully under the administrator’s control.
Another important detail is that the new AI Assistant page remains useful even if you have not configured an AI provider. The Site Overview and Content Health tools work directly with WordPress and Music Pack data. They do not require OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or another external AI service. This first release is about preparing the infrastructure first.
The next stage will be connecting these Music Pack abilities to the new WordPress AI Client. Once that layer is ready, the AI Assistant can become conversational. Instead of navigating through several WordPress screens, a musician or band manager could eventually ask questions such as:
The important difference is that the assistant will answer using real data stored by Music Pack, rather than inventing information about the artist or band.
There are many possible AI features we could add to a WordPress music plugin. But before allowing AI to generate, edit, or automate anything, we believe the first step should be giving it a safe and structured understanding of the website itself.
That is the purpose of this release. The new Music Pack AI Assistant infrastructure creates the foundation for a WordPress music website that can eventually become easier to manage, easier to inspect, and much more useful when connected to AI-powered workflows. And this is only the first step.
